[ The Ironic Demand ]

It's ironic how mom's demands to "set boundaries" apply to everybody else except her. It's relatable, especially during the New Year when tensions can run high.

[ Sabotaged Self-Regulation ]

My mom is throwing a tantrum because I talked to that consultant guy on the phone again. She was spying on my call & hated what she heard from this guy. I would like to : have friends, be employed, be insured (with health & car insurance) & live on my own ; but she actively sabotages me from the self regulation necessary to secure those things. She also over estimates what jobs I qualify for ; Which makes it that much more humiliating when I fail.

[ Unwanted Relationship advice ]

It is not my mom's job to help me find a significant other . I can not care for potential children if I do not have the money needed to help them grow in a healthy home. I can barely care for myself right now.

 

I understand that my mom lived a bad childhood but we do not need to repeat this family curse of perpetual poverty .

 

I also have no interest in her African Health-care worker super-model friend. She is kind & pretty but black women disgust me. Also, I do not identify as a Christian. I understand that straightening hair makes people smell like burned hair but I am too sensitive to most scents of burning.
